You're definitely right, Joe, that if this blog's tagline is to call people shrill then they get a pass on using the term. Maybe Imus can start the ho blog and then he'd be in the clear, too.

As far as criticizing the word “shrill”, that post is ona blog called The Shrill Blog — and fyi they are not sexist, so you might want to drop that allegation. They pick people out male and female and with tongue and cheek say they are “shrill” because that was a term used by a Bush administration official once to describe critics. I was named about a year ago as shrill. Go to the link and look at the blog. So, no, they fact they used “shrill” does not discredit them in the least since they name men and women and probably have named more men than women as “shrill.” Also that blog is not an Obama blog. Just categorizing people because you disagree with them does not a)prove its accurage b)negate their criticism. Criticze them on their views, but the shrill blog has been around for quite a while. It's actually a fun blog to read. A lot of what they do is tongue and cheek. There's another blog called the apology blog and, no they're not sexist, either..

However, with all this “shrill” counterpunching by the Obamaniacs, if it still has some legs in the upcoming news cycles on Monday or Tuesday, then this could really become ironic…….the D's get a gender wedge issue within their own supposedly unisex world. Who woulda thunk it.

I found it amusing that the person arguing that the Hillary Clinton campaign has overreacted to the “pimped-out” comment called her (campaign) shrill, a term almost always used to deride women and rarely men.

Using 100% capital letters is crude but acceptable English. (At one time lower case letters were rare or non-existent on-line.) All lower case is extremely dumbed-down and nose-picker behavior. Using capital letters for emphasis to SHRIEK at the reader is amateurish and childish. There is no correlation to poor logic or argumentation. The person who SHRIEKS at the reader is simply being argumentative, valid or otherwise. In fact, the use of capital letters to SHRIEK or to SHOUT certain WORDS and CATCH PHRASES at people has been the hallmark in this election of the Ron Paul contingent.

I think the MV would be well-served by the following rule of thumb: think twice about posting links to blogs the writers of which are known to be ADDICTED to CAPITAL LETTERS, such as the soi-disant(e) Gun Totin' Liberal. You guys should know by now that there is a direct link between the proportion of CAPITAL LETTERS a blogger uses and his or her IMMUNITY to RATIONAL ARGUMENT and usually also his or her ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY about the CORRECT interpretation of EVERY SINGLE WORD IN THE CONSTITUTION (we're talking US bloggers here, of course).

The latest alleged “must read” from the GTL, for example, was just another RANT about something or other (this time, insulting women) is GUARANTEED by the 1st Amendment (taken by GTL to entail “One dollar, one vote”). Poor diddums.
