President Bush, addressing the Conservative Political Action Committee faithful, warns that the advances made on his watch would be imperiled if Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama were to be elected. “Prosperity and peace are in the balance,” the president said.
What happened? Did the earlier comments here get erased? I'm not seeing any of the responses from earlier in the day…
There still out there on discus, just not here.
There's no record of earlier comments on this post. I will investigate.
“…warns that the advances made on his watch would be imperiled if Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama were to be elected. “Prosperity and peace are in the balance,” the president said.”
What peace? He invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.
What prosperity? Most Americans are worse off today than they were when he took over and with a recession either here, or looming on the horizon there's no sign of relief.
This just shows how much Bush is out of touch with 99% of Americans.
Whatever…
“Its been a long hard 8 years folks. What with terrorism, war, and sundry disasters large and small. But after all that, I can safely say that we and our campaign contributors have all made huge piles of money. Whatever else happened, we can't forget that or else we're no better than the voters we've been duping. Thanks, and lets do it again in 8 years once they've forgotten again.”
Caption? You want a caption? Here's one for you:
“Petulant president celebrates clueless agenda with handpicked sycophants, tries to pretend it's about America.”
“Prosperity and peace are in the balance,” the president said. “If we're not careful to keep the White House and regain Congress the peasants might think that they have a right to prosperity and peace might break out., endangering the profits of many of our donors.”, he clarified.
Sorry, couldn't resist. It's just so pathetic that he probably thinks he's done a good job.
The first poster (who had his comments inadvertently removed) was still the best, with the short, sweet caption. I had expressed the same thing in a different way, that I remember: “Advances? WHAT Advances?”
