Obama: End of the Baby Boom Generation

It’s a beautiful thing when the internet lives up to its promise as a platform for the global sharing of information and exchange of ideas.

A while ago, Andrew Sullivan, the now-famous British-born American resident commentator wrote a very interesting piece on Obama and the advantages he offers the United States as someone who is not of the baby boom generation.

That article was read in Peru, and led to this column in that country’s Spanish-language La Republica.

That Spanish article was picked up and translated by Watching America.com, which has posted an English version here!

  2. DLS says:

A lot of people are innumerate. Obama is a Baby Boomer. The US birth years of the Baby Boom were 1946-1964. Doesn't matter how people at the tail end feel.

I enjoyred reading the article nonethelss. And, DLS is correct. Obama is a baby boomer. In the USA generations are generally spoken about as 18-20 years apart. Obama was born in 1961. The so-called “baby-Boomer' generation is 1946 to and 1964.
