A while ago, Andrew Sullivan, the now-famous British-born American resident commentator wrote a very interesting piece on Obama and the advantages he offers the United States as someone who is not of the baby boom generation.

A lot of people are innumerate. Obama is a Baby Boomer. The US birth years of the Baby Boom were 1946-1964. Doesn't matter how people at the tail end feel.
I enjoyred reading the article nonethelss. And, DLS is correct. Obama is a baby boomer. In the USA generations are generally spoken about as 18-20 years apart. Obama was born in 1961. The so-called “baby-Boomer' generation is 1946 to and 1964.
