AP reports (via MSNBC) that John Edwards is dropping out of the presidential race. That’s fine with me! Now, will he endorse either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton?
If I were in his shoes, I would support Barack Obama. Who wants to be the third wheel to the Clintons during the campaign and if she wins, ol' Bill will be strongly advising the appointments too.
Neither for now. He doesn't have a political office to return to, so he'll probably wait and see who can offer him the best deal. I've heard it floating around that he could be tapped for HHS Secretary or Attorney General. Either would be a good fit for him, though probably moreso in an Obama administration than Clinton one.
Also, he did the civil thing. There was talk of him being a “kingmaker” were he to stay in the race and continue to acquire delegates for himself, but this would not be sporting if he had no chance at all, and it transpired that he didn't this year.
He was, by far, the most substantive candidate on either side, but I don't see him wanna be #2 again, and I can't see a Hill endorsement. He'll likely wait it out, or endorse Obama.

What a shame, he will be missed. Edwards ran a good campaign that was based on the issues that affect America. Good Man with a Good Heart.

He did get overshadowed by the two superstars. I wish him and his family well.
He's still a legitimate choice for the Vice Presidency.

Too bad, as he was the best candidate. But I knew he wouldn't make it after he lost Iowa.

He'd make an excellent Attorney General though wouldn't he? The corps would be shitting themselves.
