The Constitution For Us

Too often when we see discussions in the news of the Constitution they try to make it sound like some complicated subject that only intellectuals can examine.

In truth it is written for us, for the regular people, for the citizens of this nation and it should be examined as such.

With that in mind I am pleased to announce the launch of a new web site which will feature a section by section, clause by clause review of our founding document.

As noted on the site:

Here you will read ideas from a group of people who are as different from each other as can be imagined. A Radio Talk Show Host, a Lawyer, a Salesman, a Security Guard, a Business Manager, a self-proclaimed House Wife and others.

There are no “right answers,” just idea and discussions that hopefully will lead you to further study and consideration on your own part.

I will be trying to cross post from that site to this with my own commentaries but I would ask that you surf on over to the site to read the posts by the other writers and please feel free to contribute.

I also will be starting a second series here on TMV where I hope to give some background to the drafting of the Constitution, starting with the Magna Carta and moving forward to the time of the Revolution.

I hope people will find it interesting.

  1. So I know this is a bit off topic, but the chosen picture kinda bugs me. It looks like the Constitution is written on the side of a baseball bat. Very disturbing, but potentially appropo, image.
