Americans who believe the constant media hype that Chavez is a 'dictator' have an excellent means by which to measure their own censored press.
The award-winning movie, 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised' is subject to corporate blackout. You are not allowed to see it. You can't rent it from Blockbuster or Netflix, nor buy it from Amazon, or any other corporate chain.
This movie shows the brief fascist overthrow of Chavez, the immediate and bloody aftermath, and the mobilization of the common people that restored Chavez to power.
The New York Times as well as nearly every major US city newspaper reported that Chavez 'stepped down because he realized he was unpopular', then had to retract their stories 48 hours later.
You are being lied to.

Venezuela is an oil producing country, and Washington and the New York banks want control of that oil. They will pay hundreds of columnists 6 figure salaries to write the absolute inundation of lies that we are force fed like proletariate foie gras. Search for The Revolution Will Not Be Televised on google video and see CNN's role in lying to the Venezuelan people as well as to you.
You will be disgusted, and I hope you will wake up.
Whether or not Chavez is a saint is not the issue. He's the chosen representative of the Venezuelan people, and their democracy is in much better shape and much better hands then that of the US.
