Kiwi - Your comment about former Presidents involvement in presidential elections was very good. However, I believe Liz Cheney is just a hack. Didn't she leave government in 1998 to work in the private sector like the World Bank and for Armitage. .

Liz Cheney wouldn't be considered a "significant" endorsement. I haven't seen Dick endorse anyone. And so to the extent that Dick and W. are toxic, Liz might be a safe endorsement for a Republican to receive. And the Cheney name will help comfort certain Republican factions.

Liz Cheney was working for Fred Tompson and unlike some I could name, who also might have received some help from family connections, has had a distinguished career in the government including some years during the Clinton Adminstration As to Sen. Kennedy I wasn't aware that Massachusetts was in danger of voting Republican in the next election and it appears that in this case the Great White Whale may have decided to take Sen. Obama instead of Sen. Clinton beneath the ocean's surface.

Id - I agree with your assessment on Cheney's daughter. The Crist and Martinez should have an impact in Florida. Who voted for Liz Cheney and her crony husband?

Well, Ted's the last living remnant of his brothers' legacy (one of whom was the last great Prez, the other was the last great viable candidate prior to Obama). And as I believe Obama's the best candidate since Bobby, I'm glad that Ted's given him the most coveted endorsement in this election (where it not for Hill, it would be Clinton's).
