I don't get the whole attraction to Ron Paul. Reading his stances on Environment and Racism make him seem intellectually lazy at best. (http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/)

He is the latest in a long line of simplistic thinkers who see the answer to every problem being the same thing. Ron Paul's is 'personal liberty' but what he doesn't seem to understand or acknowledge is that the entire necessity driving the creation of government is that one person's personal liberties can and do impact another's liberties.

His America would be one where the Judiciary would carry the burden of the Legislator and the Executive. Even worse than today, in Ron Paul's America only people who could afford good lawyers would have any true liberty.

While he does occasionally have good points about particular programs or attitudes, he is far from a serious alternative to the current established candidates.
