Crime isn't the same issue it once was for the fear-mongering Republicans. The old evils of welfare arguments don't work so well since 1996. Same old RNC non-issues to try to scare people into voting for the tough-guy big daddy party. But even the largest prison population in the world it isn't enough for some people if it might get them the votes of some poor deluded people.

Yet, the Democratic candidates are back to proposing increasing welfare, maintaining open borders and unlimited immigration, doing nothing that will really improve schools, and opening jails and prisons. How is kiling public education, open borders, and increasing crime going to make people feel better about the future?

Both parties are also talking about killing what is left of an industrial base in the U.S. (greenhouse gas controls) along with taking away so many assumed freedoms that no lone will be able to recognize the Constitution (thought control for one party, sex control for the other party).

I yield to the will of the people. Yet I wonder what it will take to get people to think economically, emotionally, fiscally, that we are on the right track?
