I want to see Obama win one of the megastates, and also take one or both northwestern coastal states from Clinton -- winning the metros in the western portions of those states is key and there's a lot of liberal activism in Portland (and Eugene) and in (Olympia, Tacoma, and) Seattle.

And finally, that Communist monument -- all that's missing is a giant statue of Marx, Lenin, or Rockefeller.

http://www.andrewcusack.com/blog/2004/10/albany...

http://www.lofaber.com/albany/essaymaking.html

http://www.pps.org/great_public_spaces/one?publ...

This monument and the dysfunctional, disgraceful city around it deserves a ground burst, with the fallout extending eastward across Bush-hating alien, foreign territory all the way to Boston.

The following is a map of the 2000 election, which shows you a number of decaying central cities (Albany included, which even comes with this nation's very own Communist monument to pro-government conceit) and the far north. It's these cities that voted to have Clinton "represent" them and their state, and these cities in particular where Obama should work hard.

http://mwhodges.home.att.net/ny-map.gif

Oh, I can just see it now: Ithaca -- where one frat house displayed a giant W with a circle and slash through it on the side of the houlse prior to the 2004 elections -- should definitely prefer Obama over Clinton. College kiddies and granola-heads galore!

As I wrote elsewhere, hopefully those in bluer megastates (such as New York) will rise above their current level of degeneracy, and that would include giving Obama their approval in the form of voting for him. Prior to coming here to Iowa, my last job and home had me in Upstate New York, and I know many people who a) don't like Clinton and b) would give Obama a chance. (They are c) heavily Democrat-leaning, and consider Bush to be a joke. The favorite yard sign in the 2004 elections said "ENOUGH!") Not all of them are big-city machine-voting robots.

As an Obama supporter, I think it's great that Obama is challenging Hillary in her backyard. I don't think he will "win" in NY, but the more delegates he gets the better.

NY is an important state and Obama just can't ignore it or treat it as though it is Hillary's state. If he wants support from the people in NY he has to work for it. The sooner he shows New Yorkers that he takes their concerns seriously the more votes (including independents and Reps.) he will receive. Obama wants to be the President of all the people, not just his supporters. In order to accomplish that he has to go into other territory to understand everyone's concerns.
