Yuck and yuck. Just bear in mind that until proven otherwise, McCain's standing in New Hampshire is a fluke. It's ambitious, to say the least, to guess that he would win two “significant” (megastate?) primaries.

Yes, elrod- you're right- McCain's jump is significant. However he only had a jump because Republicans are not behind one candidate, with support more diffuse, more spread out, than the Dems. Whereas the Dem race has really been among three candidates with hangers-on.

Note that both Obama and Clinton gained in this poll, which was last taken in December. Clinton gained nine points and Obama gained six – not a major change on the Democratic side. But McCain's jump is significant.
