What is unusual is the amount of passion Obama and his message stir up among the young, and even some Republicans.

Well, he is the most right wing of all the Democrats running, and since most Republicans are pretty much convinced that they are going to lose in November, might as well do all that we can to minimize the damage.

I realize that making hay out of a moment of emotion is to be expected in this cynical, divisive political climate, but after watching the clip (and after hearing an interview with the woman who asked the question) I am convinced it was a genuine reaction, not any kind of display to be exploited. It's a sorry statement of our sensibilites that so many of us are no longer able to tell the difference between what is real and what is fake. Btw, Clinton would not be my first, nor even second choice candidate, although I believe she would still be a definite improvement over the 7 year status quo.

If Obama wants to win he is going to have to do more than throw out a bunch of buzzwords like "CHANGE" and explain what changes he has in mind and how he plans to do it. The buzzwords work on the young voters but as we saw in NH leaves older voters saying where in the meat. I really don't know where Obama stands on anything.
