McCain, whether you agree with him or not, is the real thing

Yep. I'm not a fan of him but he has supporters, and may emerge as the GOP's (desperation) candidate once the others have proven lacking. It's intriguing to speculate about a McCain-Hucklebee ticket (Huck as VP).

Well, the "post up" bit is Romney trying to inject some basketball lingo into his bravado, I guess, given Obama's basketball background. Pitiful, really, but then Romney would have us think he's an expert at EVERYTHING.

McCain, whether you agree with him or not, is the real thing, while Romney is best described as a Ken doll, who takes on whatever personna is necessary to get the job done.

He was bested in Iowa after outspending Huckabee by 20:1. This does not bode well for his ability to compete against Obama, or whoever the Democratic nominee is.

Real world translation:

1. Romney wants us to believe he'd be the strong guy who would do well in the general election. (He is wrong.)

2. Kaufman's statement was illogical. It contains an invalid premise (not a fact, just something many wish will happen tomorrow in New Hampshire) and a conclusion that does not follow. In addition, Obama is a Senator.

Romney and his team are hoping to do as well as they can in New Hampshire at the expense of McCain, the other GOP candidate hyped in that state's primary (and still hardly considered as serious beyond New Hampshire except as an emerging default desparation candidate).
