Huckabee’s got protesters already! Is it performance art? Civil disobedience? Street theater? Self-centeredness? Neither Fred nor Cindy is welcome in MY home.
Anti-war protestors and Ron Paul supporters both kept Mike Huckabee from entering his Iowa campaign headquarters through the front door Monday.
Three people who managed to break inside — holding a sign that said “What Would Jesus Bomb?” — were arrested and led away, yelling and singing.
Around two dozen Ron Paul supporters outside chanted ‘Legalize the Constitution.’
MSNBC First Read has garnered some details.
Actually, Huckabee has a tiny office on the FLOOR Dr. Paul has rented. There’s no way Huckabee’s people can avoid the HUNDREDS of people streaming in and out of Dr. Paul’s offices. The people who were arrested were NOT Paul supporters. We understand though – it must be very humiliating seeing the polls favor you and yet having to face the OVERWHELMING EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE of Dr. Paul’s support. Sorry about that, we’ll try to be gentle.
Scumbags.
a) If they are going to be anti-war nut-cases, why aren’t they protesting Giuliani? Is it because Huckabee is leading here?
b) Looks like their bigotry is the real issue, not being anti-war nut-cases.
c) Where’s federal law guaranteeing access by candidates to their own offices, something far more important than the radicals’ victory many years ago with federal laws governing access to abortion clinics?
In how many cities here in Iowa does Ron Paul have campaign offices? Consolidating everything into one Des Moines office is hardly impressive.
In just my city alone (not Des Moines), Obama has half the floor of a multi-story office building, about 2-3x the size of Edwards’s and several times as large as Dodd’s office. Where’s Ron Paul’s? I can’t even find an address for it on his Web site.
