Let us not forget Joe that these people have a different view on life and death.  That while in the West we ascribe to long life and avoid death and condemn murder, suicide and anything that risks life as reckless those in the east look upon martyrdom as something to be sought.  

What we ascribe as courageous is simply something to be sought after in the east.  

She was martyred.  Her goal was to succeed........or be martyred.  I believe she fully understood what she was doing and that there were only two paths to take.  Victory or Martyrdom.  Both were desirable in the eastern way of thinking.</description>
