Obama Campaign’s Blunt Ad Squelching Controversial Romney Ohio Auto Ad (Vide)
The Romney campaign’s new ad on Mitt Romney and the auto industry and Jeep jobs there is being widely proclaimed as one of the most dishonest ads ever aired — and one that the campaign knows is not correct. It has led to as growing media backlash.
Now the Obama campaign has responded with a short, blunt ad that is unlikely to burnish Romney’s credibility for any voters who may be wavering or who were feeling uneasy about voting for him due to his rapid changes of positions:

“The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common: They don’t alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views.” The Doctor, Doctor Who: The Face of Evil.
Does anyone wonder if the Romney Campaign had these ads in the can before they announced that “The Mitt” would be giving no more interviews until after the election?
Yeah, yeah… I know… Rhetorical question.
The more Mitt lies, the more he changes spots, the more his supporters like him. Of course he is the alternative to the black guy. Is it any wonder the rest of the civilized world thinks we’ve gone mad?
Z,
Wouldn’t the group of people who aren’t voting for Obama because of race be democrats? The group who ordinarily would have voted for the democratic candidate? I doubt there are many republicans saying “I was going to switch parties this year but forget it!”
Romney has been lying – and quite spectacularly – since he started his 2012 run. His lies have only grown bolder as time wears on.
I fail to see how this specific instance is going to sway anyone not already voting for Obama. Romney supporters will continue to practice cognitive dissonance at a record pace and Obama supporters will continue to pretend their own guy is a pinnacle of honesty.
I, for one, will be immensely glad once this is over… for the two or three months before the 2016 campaign starts anyway.
