I don’t think so, although I admit I don’t like the nasty side of politics in general. I believe tin something like honor among thieves.

Sniping jokes when they come from the outside, like cartoons, are funny to me. When it’s politician to politician, it becomes just too personal..for comfort.

Of course, good manners and politics don’t seem to mix at all.

There are plenty of other threats done in the normal course of campaigning that are far more insidious than a joke at a rival. No one ever mentions these, or they get passed off as “just part of politics.”

But going back to the joke on Hillary (I still think it’s hilarious)- she does have SS protection and jokes are taken way more seriously than if the person who was the butt of the joke was Joe Blow from Podunk, USA. Just like I’d never tell a policeman- jokingly- that I have a bomb, I would never tell the SS- jokingly- who I really think should be put on a rocket and sent to Mars.

Levity, which it definitely was, is not amusing when it comes at someone else’s expense.

Except when it is at Bush’s or another conservative’s or Republican’s expense, which is politically correct and approved, if not encouraged.

Don Rickles could get away with it because he was an equal opportunity insulter. Hunckabee taking levity shots at a political opponent doesn’t pass the laugh for laugning’s sake test.

I started out intending not to vote for Hillary.
Now, I’m seriously considering it as a protest vote.
