I’m not a social conservative, but I’ll defend them against the venom hurled at them from their far-more-out-of-the-mainstream enemies; Huckabee often has behaved, as another user wrote on another thread, as more of a Democrat than a Republican in the past, yet he’s better than either of the two GOP front-runners (yuck) and I hope that Huckabee gets at least a consideration for the Vice Presidential position eventually.

Huckabee has a more grown-up attitude toward how states should be (rather than rely on the federal government, especially if it is inept or is otherwise a liability) than we see with too many others in this country.
