Republican Todd Akin said Tuesday he would not drop out of his US Senate race, despite sparking outrage last month when he declared a woman’s body can prevent conception in cases of “legitimate rape.” “I have one purpose going into November, and that’s replacing Claire McCaskill,” the Democratic senator…

Thanks Todd, in a state that is as embarrassingly red as Mizzoura, Claire needs all the help she can get.
Red Voters, Remember Rush Limbaugh said to write in Elmer Fudd instead of voting for Todd.

    The race will be close.

State Republican officials are rallying round the reprobate. McCaskill has a devastating ad camapign, but she’s still fighting an uphill battle against MO sensibilities. This campaign will probably affect the national race more than Missouri.

Nice to know that Newt is keeping his usual open mind. Where a certified moron makes a better candidate than any possible democrat. His is the kind of mindset that leads to a really awful nation.

Actually Pro Wife Missouri is not embarrassingly red but is in the pink in the latest polls….

I listened to the debates last week and one of the possible influences is there is a Libertarian in the race…Some of pundits are saying that this may be a factor is Claire’s favor…

I don’t see how any national Republican in good conscience after tomorrow has any choice except to

I find this sentence to be kind of fascinating. It seems like an acknowledgement that everyone knows Akin is a hateful, deeply embarrassing, generally stupid, overall poor candidate. However, Gingrich frames the support of him as a matter of conscience, of all things. It’s just very illustrative of what it means to be a “national Republican in good conscience”.

Or, as Inigo Montoya said, “I don’t think that word means what you think it does”.

A certain bird needs to take off her pink glasses :)
I know you love MO, but ….. Yeah, it’s just a little bit saner than SC.

Newt was the guy excavating all the dirt for the foundation of a Republican congress built to last as long and as far as the eye can see. He’s still at it. It’s nice, I guess, to know that some things never change.
