Spitzer’s LIMITED USE license proposeal was a reavtion to complaints about what happens when unlicensed and uninsured drivers get into acctidents.

The fact is that illegals drive no matter what the laws are. As long as they are not deported, instead of being hired for low-wage jobs, they have to be dealt with somehow.

But instead of facing up to that, people use the opportunity to just complain, complain, complain, without offering a single solution WITH ENOUGH SUPPORT to pass muster.
One camp rants about X, and the other rants about Y. Neither can have it completely their way, and until they recognize that, someone has to deal with the nitty-griity aspects of living with large numbers of illegal immigrants. Whan someone tries to do that, he’s shot down. Why? Because chaos is better than some sort of order while we wait for an overall resolution?

To compare iu to Mexico is not an irony. It is irrelevant.

Maybe someone should ask the Democratic candidates how they plan to nationalize health care and lower greenhouse gas admission while maintain open borders and unlimited immigration?

If they were honest and arrogant, just as the relic(t)s in New York I encountered would say, they’d say reflexively, “We’ll just have to raise taxes, of course.”

(“We’ll begin with large new taxes on motor vehicle fuels. Americans have long been undertaxed and we’re tired of their complaints about government taxes and spending. Taxes are the price of civilization.”)

(“Civilization” = entitlements and buying more Democratic votes.)

Yet I can stay for 180 days in Mexico legally without a Visa?

And off topic but… Have you ever noticed that as Americans you only need a Visa to travel to countries you’d probably never want to go to anyway?

Ever policy pushed by the Democrats is to allow as many illegal aliens as possibleinto the U.S. and then put all of them on the road to citizenship and automatic Democratic voting.

Bush and Rove were idiots if they thought they could attrach Hispanic votes. The idiotic efforts managed to alienate large numbers of Republican voters while giving the Democrats more Hispanic votes.

Also, has anyone else noticed that Senator Obama refuses to use the word “illegal” but instead opts for the politically correct “undocumented.”

Some countries have repressive military regimes.
Should we?

I’ve always believed that we should stay informed about how other countries operate.
The purpose for that is ti see if we can learn from then, not to emulate them.
We are responsible for our own policies and should make judgements accordingly.

Mexico, BTW, is not my idea of a role model.
