We’re talking about gender here – one of the most fundamental aspects of humanity. How can anyone expect it NOT to enter in some form into politics?

The comments on clothing seem to be more rooted in the fact that women have so many more options than men. What do hear about men? It’s when they wear a “daring” tie color. Whoopty do.

What do you call it when a candidate says he has Jesus in his Heart?
It’s playing the religion card.

What do you call it when a condidate talks about his Latino heritage?
It’s playing the ethnicity card.

What do you call it when a canditdate talks about his military experience?
It’s playing the hero card.

What do you call it when a candidate talks about his post 9/11 performance as mayor?
It’s playing the fake heroism card.

But when it’s gender, it’s suddenly exploitation?
Are you kidding me?

The reason I am thinking of not voting for her is my fear that she won’t lunge to the left. I don’t envy her position. It seems she has to prove she is more a man (applying male speak: to have not just ovarios, but the biggest ovarios in the land) and more than able to make manly decisions about war and bombs. And since we have spent billions on and now have the strongest military of all time, who we elect better be ready to use, yes, even preemptively.

This idea of having to appeal to all people while only having to pay back the ones who contributed more than 50,000 dollars is messy at best. One can never know who lies there behind the outfit or the suit.

Perhaps I should take some consolation from Pres. Bush who himself lunged right after his election; the “compassionate conservatism” he spoke never having materialized especially once he became a “war president.”

I know it doesn't ring true. It's factual, not emotional.

All politicians do it. Darn it. I thought she would be diffâ€™rent.

She's a politician, "thoroughly." And she'll lunge to the left after being elected if history is any guide. She has the competence to match her ambition, and that is the basis of nearly all the opposition to her, not mere partisanship or sexism.

She’ll exploit it — reverse sexism (what sex are most corrupt politicians you know, and politicians who are too conservative for the liberals here on the “Moderate” [sic] Voice?) will be a bonus for her, particularly among young, naive, or activist female voters. Now add Bush-o-phobia anti-GOP sentiment!
