Clinton remains the favorite, by default, until proven otherwise. Her opponents have a large psychological hurdle to overcome.

Posts like these always make me crib from the Daily Howler. Let's be clear. At that debate, Russert and Williams egged on Clinton's rivals for two hours, asking them, point blank, whether Clinton was contradicting herself. Compare this with the Republican debate, where Romney says flat-out that Giuliani is lying, and Matthews just moves on.

Then the media gets their grubby little paws on a perfectly reasonable answer to the driver license question, that it's not desireable but necessary, and twists it. Edwards and Obama play along, but let's stop disappearing the press in making stupid narratives and controversies.

This is just a war on Clinton. The whole thing is stupid. It's more of the debased discourse that passes for politics in this country, and it's brought to us by a bunch of multimillionaire plutocrat journalists and the sniveling little "liberal" shits who repeat their trash to try to get ahead.

Hence Joe says, "The conventional wisdom has spoken." Indeed. The way I see it, Hil made a reasonable answer that got twisted and hyped, then a staffer made a stupid error. Where was the furor when Giuliani's South Carolina campaign chairman was busted for selling coke? Why are there two standards for errors and ambiguity, a harsh one for Clinton and Edwards, and a light one for Republicans? Why, it's the conventional wisdom, silly!
