PWT said"
"It is the perrogative of the President to have staged
news conferences with fake reporters",

PREROGATIVE"? On which stone is that engraved?
By the same token, Hillary could claim that there is not law against planting questons.

In neither case should 'can do' equal 'should do'
And neither the President nor a cancidate is exempt from criticism when they fail to make that distincion.

If you want to place the President in a stratosphere of his own, that's a prerogative you are claiming for your own opinions. It has nothing to do with how this should be viewed by others.

It is the prerogative of politicians I support to do whatever they want.

Meanwhile, whenever politicians I disapprove of do things that garner negative publicity, it is proof of their hypocritical, desperate unsuitability for office.

Now you know.

If she is elected President, Mrs. Clinton can plant all the questioners at as many fake news conferences as she wants, but until then, lets see some candor.

I sure hope she doesn't :-)

And besides, I hold our elected officials to a hire standard than those merely seeking office. It's somewhat understandable that you have to play the political game to win, but once you're in office, you have a higher duty.

Chris,

It is the perrogative of the President to have staged news conferences with fake reporters, but, you must be president FIRST. Mr. Bush has never been accused of planting questions or staging event during his 2000 campaign and that is the problem with attempting to connect the two. One is the president, the other is still a candidate.

Not that she should plant questions (she shouldn't) and not that I'm a supporter of hers (I'm not). This is definitely not a big deal in the age of Jeff Gannon and entire handpicked audiences for the President. Let's just keep this all in perspective shall we?

Sooner or later someone needs to ask: Is there any actual truth to these allegations? Have any of these people who have gone public pointed out a particular person who asked them to post particular questions? I have yet to see this. Has anyone from her campaign stood up & said, "Yes, I did that?" I haven't seen that, either.

We all have received the chain emails going around from those suffering from Clinton Derangement Syndrome talking about the number of people she supposedly had killed & the ones "proving" Obama is a Muslim. I have to wonder whether this is not just another lying smear. Even if it is true, is it really all that big a deal? As the waitress who was allegedly stiffed for a tip form the Clinton Campaign said:

You people are really nuts. There's kids dying in the war, the price of oil right now — there's better things in this world to be thinking about than who served Hillary Clinton at Maid-Rite and who got a tip and who didn't get a tip.

I think we would all be better off if we asked the more important questions.
