  1. Every time I read of another Californian referendum, it solidifies my opinion that true democracy is a failure and representational, as bad as that has been, is still so much better.

    The fact is that legalizing marijuana would save american lives!

    Even though some say marijuana is the gateway drug to alcohol, the toxic much more dangerous drug, the fact is this is simply not true. As most Americans I drank alcoholic beverages long before I smoked a little weed. If marijuana was legal the fact is fewer people would drink alcoholic beverages. This would result is fewer americans dying as result of alcohol related drunk driving fatalities. Marijuana is not a toxic substance. Alcohol is. See the preface of the book “marijuana is safer” You can download it for nothing. It is written by a former chief of police with the input of many chiefs of police.

    By the way. I just lost a good friend due to an alcohol related automotive fatality. It hurts. In my firsthand knowledgeable opinion, if pot was legal he would still be alive.
