He got caught selling eleven pounds of marijuana and got probation. I'm sure there are people in jail for selling less who might wonder about this sentence. --But wait! There's more! While STILL on probation for that violation, he gets charged with selling cocaine, conspiracy, and according to Fox news, felony bookmaking as well. And what punishment do the wheels of justice mete out to this man? Where does he end up? Why--he gets out on probation again! Thus does our legal system demonstrate to the poor, the ethnically or racially different, or the just ordinary, that there's another very different "system" of justice for those who, one can only assume, are well-connected. It apparently worked so well for him, he continued with this strategy.--Again according to Fox, during the 1990's he got into Republican politics in Tennessee and donated more than $75,000 to Republican candidates and causes in Tennessee. He could have used that $75,000 to pay off some of his unpaid taxes, but maybe he knows what will pay off best in the long run. I was just thinking how much greater the outrage would be if a welfare mother was discovered to have landed herlself in cushy spot.
