The US blessing on EU nefotiations has been negated by all the accusatory and threatening rhetoric in usbswquent months. Iran has the upper hand now, and I'm not sure what it would take to induce it to deal positively with the West. If we are to have a chance, however, the approach would need to be of a different kind and made in a defferent spirit. I also find Obama's plan , wtih its security guaranees, appealing. Also, he would have the advantage of NOT being part of the current administration, with all the bad memories that evokes in Iran. The relationship between Iran and the current administration is so bad that Iran would not budge now.
