Really, isn’t it reporters with short attention spans who want dirty punches and tell the rest of us we want that too?

I say BAH HUMBUG to the entire political scene.
The only one I can applaud the day ofter the debates is Obama, and that’s for not stooping quite as low as the others.

The ‘people’ seem more intent on seeing blood and gore than on deciding on who can lead us through the coming years.
We are facing unprecedented challeges in the face of an economic downturm at home and nothing but wars and animosities abroad, and amid all that, people clamor for a good fight instead of a good debate. I wish ‘the people’ would stick to watching wresting and leave politics to the Obmas in the field..

Hillary is obviously getting all the attention by the right because she is going to win the nomination. She quite simply is the only candidate the Democrats are fielding that is half way moderate in her views.

The right is mud slinging her because they are about to pass out over the idea of 4 or 8 more years of a Clinton. So when I hear people here say I would never vote for Clinton and I know your left it simply means to me…..your far left and that you dont care about Moderation except to continue to preach that it is the right that needs to moderate and not the left.

As for me. I’ve made up my mind. As a conservative Republican I have decided already to vote for Hillary because of all the candidates from both parties she is the only one who presents herself as a moderate with a willingness to change her mind when necessary even if it is because of political reasons. To me that is not a double talking Politician. That is a realist who wants to find common ground with as many people as possible.

We need to eliminate the tax cuts. We need to balance the budget and we need to wind down our overwhelming presence in Iraq.

To do this we need to get rid of the Spend and Spend New Republican party and put a moderate Liberal in power who will raise taxes, cut spending, curtail military operations without turning America into a socialist state.

Hillary I believe will do that. However the farther left Liberals of Obama, Dodd or Edwards will take it too far to the left.

BTW, most of the criticism of Clinton is coming from the right-not the left. She is being smeared as a socialist by right wing radio.

However if under pressure he realizes he is losing and changes tactics and becomes one of the name calling, mud slinging down and dirty typical politicians in order to try and win well that proves one thing.

He is there simply to win. He is obsessed with the office and is not obsessed with his principals. I would say hes painted himself into a corner. To change in order to win means he simply is obsessed with the possibility of great power and really is no different then all those he chastises for their efforts to win the prize.

We will see shortly which Obama is running for president.

I think the debate is frantic efforts by the left to get Hillary out and put one of their own in power. Obama, Edwards or Dodd. They can’t stand a moderate Democrat while screaming “We need to be more moderate”

Seriously, however, I can’t think of a Democratic “front runner” in my lifetime who survived the primary season.

If Mrs. Clinton manages it, it will be quite a feat — if this weren’t the year in which the single most important issue seems to be how much campaign cash you have on hand.

The primaries will start as early as December and may well be over by the first week of February. How do you make sense of that?

Both parties may well have a nominee they don’t really know and plenty of time for sticker shock to set in.

And there will be 7 to 8 months between the time a nominee is selected and the nominating conventions, per se — during which time, both parties will have nothing to do but raise money and run attack ads.

This has been the earliest and strangest presidential election year that I can ever remember, and neither can my father-in-law, who is 100 years old.

We ain’t seen nothing yet.
