Obama Says Not Offended By Eastwood Republican Convention Riff: Is a “Huge” Fan

Sep 2, 2012 by

USA TODAY reports that President Barack Obama wasn’t offended by Clint Eastwood’s empty chair riff at the Republican Presidential convention and remains a fan:

President Obama wants to make it clear that, in his own words, “I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan.”

“He is a great actor, and an even better director,” the president said in an interview with USA TODAY aboard Air Force One, on his way to campaign rallies in Iowa Saturday. “I think the last few movies that he’s made have been terrific.”

….Was he offended?

“One thing about being president or running for president — if you’re easily offended, you should probably choose another profession.” Obama said with a smile. He said there would be no effort to counter with a similar stunt at the Democratic National Convention, which opens in Charlotte Tuesday.

“I think we’ll be playing this pretty straight,” he said.

Uh, oh. Clint is a better director than actor? That’s not the way to an actor’s heart. We may be seeing ads starring the actor and directed by the director. And they would be effective!

“I think we’ll be playing this pretty straight, he said” Geez I hope so. The comedy was enjoyable but certainly can be open to derision no matter who does it or what they say.

Eastwood spoke at the RNC, but his brand of moderate Rebulican couldn’t ven win as dog catcher in most places. His love of jazz, assisted suicide and other controversy makes the likes of Mittens and Sanctorum soil themselves.

CE was mayor of Carmel which is better than dog catcher, and I bet he could of been governor if he wanted.

Topping or getting even with CE, go ahead make my day Dems, can’t be done especially without a teleprompter.

Yes Virginia, there are many types of Reps, contrary to populist propaganda.
