I can see why Russia wouldn&#039;t like a US  missile defense system  in Europe, and I think Putin&#039;s belligerent statements from Iran are part of the reaction.  

 In the meantime, though, Russia&#039;s missiles could be a threat to all of Europe.  I think the states that broke away from the USSR  feel the threat especially sharply.  The USSR, would love to control them once again and reminds them of it regularly

I wonder if Russia&#039;s antagonism isn&#039;t partially based on thinking that the proposed  defense system might be a way to check the threat Russia poses to others in the region.

The attack on Estoniia&#039;s internet system was ominous.</description>

Its fine as long as he sticks to countries without ICBM&#039;s that in reality can&#039;t do much to hurt us, but Russia, yikes.   I pray that he treads water on this until we get another president in office.</description>
