So many of the wartorn areas in the middle east are in such chaos because of the fighting between tribes. If they want any real progress they need to abandon such an outdated notion of loyalties and structure and adopt something more modern. Until then they will simply float nationless, unable even to get enough cohesion amongst their own ranks to become what they want most, a modern nation.
