But he's got a few problems: one, he's a protectionist, which is anathema in today's GOP. Two, he's got no money. Third, he's not a vicious partisan (he even praised the Clintons). Fourth, his name is Huckabee, which might be even more "unpresidential" than Obama (a terrible reason, of course, but Dan Bartlett made this point and I think he's right). I thought Huckabee would be a bigger contender than he's been. He's the natural choice for the Christian Right. Hucakabee seems like a natural fit. If you like Supreme Court justices like Scalia, Thomas and Roberts maybe he is your guy. But if he did get the nomination I really doubt that he'd be able to draw anyone outside the Republican Party.
