To me the resolution takes a mini step in the right direction, but doesn't pose any significant political risk for Brownback. Who in this day and age would seriously disagree with his proposal? I'd have more respect for Brownback if he urged Louisiana's US Attorney to prosecute those who hung nooses in a schoolyard under hate crimes legislation, or urged South Carolina to take down its Confederate flag from the statehouse. Did you read in the Jerusalem Post about Brownback's endorsement of Benny Elon's "peace plan"? Elon proposes that Israel annex the entire West Bank and force the Palestinians to take Jordanian citizenship or be stateless. They would not have to move but they would be defacto citizens of a state that doesn't want them. Brownback thinks this would bring peace??????? David – I think Brownback is crazy.
