dear domajot. I concur, and I'd add there are so so many good souls in this world, of all faiths... and no faith in particular... who are doing good works all over the world. The Christian groups I
mentioned are only a few who are truly dedicated to trying to feed the hugry, comfort the ill, protect the vulnerable. I was just writing a little about the Mennonites and what they do is so amazing Domajot. And yet, sometiems I know it seems like we are just pouring water into ink. And that's I think where the tears come most.
I think we can cry domajot and continue in strength too. "I can weep and be fierce at the same time..." [ from How to Silence A Woman: Retrieving Her Voice... famous poem by cpe. lol. Yes. ]
Let us continue, domajot.

If only Christians were capable of this same manner of introspection.
Where and when were Jesus's words about TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK lost? They never, ever surface except perhaps in marginal groups like the Amish and the Menonites.

I am not a purist. I do believe, however, that a full round of quesions should be asked (introspection) before flying off in any one direction.

Most revealing passage in this post: the Dalai wept.
I weep with him.
