He was just starting out in NY and I happened to be pasing by a pizza shop where he was trying to organize a rally for himself. He ran up to me and grabbed my hand, loaded shopping bag and all, and pumled it maniacally. HIs palm was cold and clammy. Things went downhill from there. Not to say that he didn't accomplish anything in NY - he did. But the same could have been accomplished without acting like a tone-deaf bull/ terrier in a china shop.
