		<description>I agree that the current system is busted, but you have to apply it to all states, not just CA.  Doing so to just a single state obviously tips the national election in favor of the party that typically loses the state.  Or better yet, for christs sake just have a popular election across the board.  Never again would we see a repeat of the circus that marred the 2000 election.</description>

This is obviously superior.  Why should a state be all-blue or all-red when it&#039;s really purple?

This is no 100% solution, any more than is proportional representation for House seats, because some states are so small that they don&#039;t have enough seats to make this meaningful.  But it&#039;s obviously better than winner-take-all and should be implemented where it makes sense (say, at least five electoral votes or five House seats apportioned to a state).</description>
