    Who cares what the Republicans have to say. None of them is going to be president no matter how many gaffes and mistakes Senator Clinton makes during the general election. The only question is whether the Democrats get 60 seats in the Senate in 2008 or they have to wait until 2010.

    Is there anything less relevant to the politics in the U.S. than the empty suite lightweights who are pretending to be leaders when they are nothing more than political hacks.

    Well, the GOP candidates all look like duds, in my view. Of course, Al Gore managed to lose to a dud (beginning in the debates!) in 2000, so miracles can happen. It depends (again) on how many will vote for a dud rather than risk having Hillary Clinton as our next President.

    I believe we’re going to be saying “President Clinton” again starting in 2009.
