I suspect this leak came from the administration, to bolster the fear factor aroun the Petraeus hearings.
You wouldn’t want the WH investigating itself, now, would you? The things that would be unearthed.

All in all, another case of STUPID.

Where’s the outrage within the administration to find the leaker? It just makes me think of the Valerie Plame leak which also KO’d a valuable intelligence program, after which the administration pledged to launch an internal investigation. Anyone found to be connected to the leak would be discharged. Except they never launched the investigation or discharged anyone connected with it.

I guess the only leaks that make you a traitor to your country are the ones published by the NYT’s.
