Who needs psychics anymore? These shows feature the journalistic elite talking heads making predictions about what WILL happen. These shows are now an institution and those on them surely belong in one.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, the talking heads only discuss issues as they relate to the candidates. How does Giuliani’s record on abortion rights impact his chances of winning the Republican primary? That’s entirely the wrong question and it serves no purpose other than to let the media pundits flap their lips a little longer. This isn’t a football game. When did we stop asking for detailed plans of action and in-depth descriptions of the candidates’ views? When did sound-bites become more important than substantive policy?
