Let’s look at the Spitzer decision in light of moveon.org talking points.

1. A poll this week showed that 60% of New Yorkers are against the move. Do you think that will even be consider by the liberal elite on New York

2. Spitzer’s decision is in violationof the Real ID act. do you think that anyone on the left will claim that the Spitzer administration is operating outside the law and is corrupt.

3. New York State employees are stating that they wil not follow spitzer’s edits but will follow the existing law. Do you think those middle class government employees will be held up as heros y the left for complying with the law or will they will be called racist y the left for believing that the rules mean something. .

The Moderate [sic; Liberal] Voice community largely supports the plan, I suspect.

(Note that with S-CHIP, Spitzer wants to benefit children of households up to 400% of the poverty level, which would mean nearly every child in the state.)

Actually, they want to win elections, which will increasingly require latino support.

The recipients of the drivers’ licenses will vote Democratic if and when they can, in gratitude.

When Spitzer’s deal gets torpedoed by a presidential veto I’m sure there will be a post about it.
