Politicians can get all bent out of shape about the USA wearing chinese uniforms because that does not impact them directly.

Pass a law requiring electronics to be made in the USA that they use and they would throw a fit because that $299.00 gadget now cost $2,999.00. That impacts them directly.

So it is ok to bitch as long as it affects someone else.

However, for the few numbers of uniforms needed for the USA team, the cost of production in the USA could not be a major difference given the costs for all the advertising and exclusive deals that the olympics get from corporations. Common sense, not politicians, should make domestically produced uniforms a reality.
