I'm sure many would like to comment, but what is there to say? They protested against a very violent and oppressive regime, and now they are being slaughtered for it. All we can do is hope it sparks a flame of rebellion that burns hotter than the vengence of a tyrant.

Where ARE the comments? Sometimes, when our love and shame of being human collide, the result can be a resounding silence that speaks volumes.

This is sadly not surprising at all. I hope it does manage to stay in the news cycles and some international attn manages to help out the people. With so many gov't of the world heaping misery on their people, real misery, its unlikely. But one can dream.
