More Bad News For Senator John McCain
It truly seems as if his campaign is doomed.
There are some pieces in the media now about McCain on the rebound, etc. and some polls that show some movement for him. But the media stories are typical of how a story flows: it’s boring and old hat to write the same thing, so if it looks like he’s started to pull himself out of the tar pit the story comes out that he’s getting out.
He’s not anywhere near out.

Clearly McCain’s campaign is struggling and clearly McCain is a survivor. McCain will stay in until he’s certain that he doesn’t stand a chance.
McCain is not going anywhere anytime soon. He’s seen enough presidential elections to know that who is popular today may not be popular tomorrow and who is down today could very well be President-elect come election day.
Also there was a post (sorry I forget who said it) on TMV a couple days ago which made the observation that the Dems appear to be rallying around Clinton but there was no similar candidate emerging for the Repubs.
So McCain knows it’s too soon to give up his quest for the WH.
Personally I think he’s doomed. Lastly I’d like to say that back in 1992 a lot of people didn’t see how a governor from the small, hick state of Arkansas could triumph over a sitting President up for re-election.
