Romney is not Rick Perry. Romney can put more than two words together and express himself. And he looks presidential (looks aren’t everything, but it does play a part). I think Romney will do ok. And many Americans (mostly Republicans) will buy whatever Romney says. They WANT to buy whatever Romney says since he is their savior from Obamacare, socialism, communism, government intrusion, etc.

What will be more interesting is how everyone else judges the debates afterwards. I think the Republicans will agree with whatever Romney says and any discrepancies, any flip flops that the Democrats point out will be disregard as spin by Republicans. Independents will probably be split… but lean towards Obama.

I’ve become convinced that a large percentage of the American people now disregard unpleasant news, facts, etc. as “spin” from the other side.

My new name for Romney is Flippy Mitty.
