    Thanks for the good wishes Mr. Patrick and merci beaucoup! Zeph, I swear you’re one of the very few Americans who actually know about 1812. ;-)

    The shots in that first video above would make me homesick, were I not already here. The weather here is 30C and brilliantly sunny — a BBQ awaits tonight, homemade burgers and potato salad, a case of cold beer for visitors and easy chairs to sit back and watch the fireworks later on. What could be better …..

    May all you Americans have as beautiful a day this coming Wednesday. I have a little Stars and Stripes ready to fly in your honour.
