If the person has not worked in the Justice department before, they will take weeks to get up to speed on the operation. President Bush would be better off just leaving an acting Attorney General there for a year instead of wasting a month in hearings. Of course, Congress will probably spend more time with this instead of passing any of the budget bills that are sitting in their inbox. I guess passing a budget like the Constitution mandates. who cares who is going to serve as the Attorney General for about 15 months.
