The brief BBC excerpt I could find seemed fine. It said the US had troops in Saudi Arabia, and that made some people mad. That's true, as far as it goes. I fail to see how that's biased, or how on earth it supports the conclusion that the BBC is blaming 9/11 on "evil americans."

And perhaps one day, when the baby boomer generation and all of its deeply-rooted partisan and cultural hubris dies out with it, terrorism itself will be a topic that will be unfettered by partisanship.

That's a nice thought, but totally improbable. I have yet to see an issue that is unfettered by partisanship. Well, maybe garbage pickup, but that's only because people don't care enough about it. If people cared about garbage like they care about health care, the Republicans would be trying to make sure garbage pickup was an exclusively private enterprise while Democrats would be trying to tax excess diaper throwout and both would growl that the other side really "doesn't care about the garbage of regular Americans".

Some of the suggestions for talking to kids would work well for talking to other adults, as well. Adults are being terrorized by some rhetoric, too.
