Your perspicacity is refreshing, Sam.

Which is why I find it interesting that as long as I have been here, there has hardly been any posting, much less promoting, of any 2009 candidate…….from those opposed.

Bitching, moaning, complaining every day about this current administration solves nothing. And hopefully, the fact that you have pointed this out, will move things on to a more constructive agenda.

I think it has less to do with people being gullible than the fact that we really can’t do anything to the president. He realized this a long long time ago. So what if he shifts his position 180 degrees, makes stuff up and ignores facts that highlight his inability to make any progress? What can we do about it? He’s not going to be impeached, he knows it and can do as he damn well pleases and all we can do is fume about it until 2009.

Joe – Will was absolutely correct. I am absolutely amazed at the gullibility of Americans that Bush can change the goalposts so often and seemingly the media and audience generally follow right along. However, when 33% of Americans believe that Iraq was behind 9/11, I guess nothing should surprise me anymore.

It should also be pointed out that whatever success we’ve seen in Anbar province is not the result of the surge, but the result of turning over security to tribal leaders.

Anbar, for whatever it’s worth, is the result of the non-surge.
