There has been a recent kerfuffle in the blogosphere about accusations of treason by leading Republicans. These accusations are based on information that came to light recently in Do Not Ask What Good We Do; Inside the House of Representatives, a book by Robert Draper.
Why aren’t the major American media and Americans themselves shrieking with righteous outrage over the Republican strategy described in this book, strategy that was formulated in the Caucus Room (a high-end D.C. establishment) the same day Obama took office, where they plotted to sabotage the Obama presidency any way they could – including sabotaging the economy.
I remember Mitch McConnell saying repeatedly shortly after President Obama was sworn in that the Republicans party’s primary goal in the next Congress was to make Obama a one-term president. This was in the middle of an economic crisis the like of which we hadn’t seen since the Great Depression. And the Republicans have stayed true to that goal, doing everything they can to make the economy worse until they re-take the White House.
If that isn’t sabotaging America what is?
