Saudi Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, a hard liner with less than positive views about the West and democracy, has died at the age of 78.
He is the 2nd crown prince to die in the past year and is likely to be succeeded as Crown Prince by the 76 year old Prince Salman. Salman is hardly a liberal but his views are a bit more reasonable on reform issues, though it remains to be seen if he will live long enough to take the throne
