the following were ignored: healthcare, increasing energy costs/ renewable energy investment, crumbling infrastructure, global warming, veterans&#039; issues, congressional corruption.

The GOP candidates, with the exception of Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee, played  to the party&#039;s base.</description>
